I have the Windows version of Maxima 5.9.1. There is no set manipulation functionality in the manual. However - in the online manual, there is set manipulation - see http://maxima.sourceforge.net/docs/manual/en/maxima_40.html . The functions listed on this web page do not work in my copy of Maxima.
Can anyone explain why this functionality is missing in the Windows version, please? Also, are there any downloads available which will add this functionality to the Windows version of Maxima?
Thanks for any help with these questions.
Note: I sent this question to the Maxima list (maxima@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) on the 25th September - but have not received a reply.
Try version 5.9.2 -- the set stuff seems to work OK in it. It is now available for Windoze.
