i seem to remember the OP post was very vague, so i gave a general reply -
admittedly what i suggested was a numerical rather than a symbolic approach.
i dont remember him mentioning an exam or homework.

i spell it 'factorisation' as i am british, and dont tend to use
americanisms such as 'factorization'
