Thanks for the reply. Although I'm impressed with your helpfulness and
your zeal for maths, I must decline your kind offer (to post my math
homework here for your/general assistance). It just wouldn't be
cricket. (Although I am an American, two of my math books are from the
UK, and I think it has had an effect (aside from graying my hair).

I had thought that, when I asked Dr. Fateman if he was good at algebra
and first year physics before I'd let him have a go at my homework, it
would have been clear that I was kidding. In the future, I'll try to
make my whimsy more obvious. Or -- here's a thought! -- omit it all
together. <g>
