I didn't see any mention of computer algebra systems.
Baysian inference does not mean computer algebra.

While I have not heard of Metron before this mail, it
appears to be one of a large number of firms referred
to collectively as "beltway bandits" who feed off
US government contracts. Some of these companies have
quality technical staff. Others are probably closer to
lobbying+scam practitioners.

Metron and similar firms do not give money away to CAS
developers. They take money, mostly from the US government,
and they write reports.

Note that one
way of dealing with really incompetent reports, especially those
that do not agree with pre-determined conclusions, is
to stamp "secret" or "top secret".
