Re: Symbolic Calculator for Mobile Devices

I have outlined this in the documentation. If you
use one of the CAS-capable pocket calculators, you
have to learn a whole new set of commands etc.
Using Jasymca you don't need to learn many new commands.
In the other direction, you learn to use Maxima
if you use Jasymca for mobile math.

On the other hand, maxima is not a CAS used by so many people,
I would guess there are far more people using a CAS pocket
calculator (TI, Casio or HP) than maxima. And there
are CAS emulators that run on PDA.
-> It might be a good idea to provide a compatibility
mode for CAS calculator commands if you want to
attract users.
