Sure. Maxima is licensed under the Gnu Public License (GPL). Check the official web site at http://maxima.sourceforge.net/
Below are some excerpts from the web site:
"Maxima 5.10.0 release: Maxima 5.10.0 has been released. Source and binary files are available at the SourceForge file manager. (September 23, 2006)"
You can download files from the Sourceforge download page at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=4933
"The file release manager at Sourceforge has files for all versions and all releases of Maxima.
* Windows: you want maxima-x.y.z.exe, a self-contained installer program."
Regards,
Jean-Marc
At least a related question: does it admit a call from C programs
(in the sense of a DLL) or has it any interfaces to use it from
external?
.
