Hi Vladimir,
It depends on what exactly you run. Some of the commands
available in Mathematic require front-end to run properly.
One being Dynamic.
If we, however, restrict ourselves to calculus related
functions, then there should be no mathematical inequivalence
between outputs of MathKernel and Mathematica for the same
input. The reason being that they both use the same
computational engine.
