It has many problems. One of the main complaints is that they really messed
up the Help files. I think they hired some idiot from Microsoft to do the
Help files. Wolfram usually does not do something this poor, but they
really messed up here.
It has no organization, and your hand/mouse will quickly grow tired of
trying to find and read stuff. For example, it takes 12 mouse clicks to
read the very first item in help. (You have to expand EVERYTHING! It takes
15 clicks to read the next item.
This program is so bad I cancelled my 3-year premier service. When they get
their act together, I'll be glad to rejoin. Right now, I have to study the
version 4 book, and reference the 5.0 helps files. I feel pity for someone
starting new with Version 6.

You'll probably hear people who have been using the program for years say
they like the system, and don't mind doing a million mouse clicks. One does
not read/study a large book by randomly picking items from the index with no
organization.

Saying that the program is "really bad" is unfair. It is true that
the documentation is less organised than in previous versions, and the
new doc centre interface is a step backwards (in certain respects).
But if you compare it with other software, Mathematica is still among
the best documented programs. One can easily get started with
Mathematica, and gradually become an advanced user without the need to
look at any external documentation or tutorials.
