My understanding is that Wolfram's Mathematica book (5th edition),
which is available in 5.2, is a Mathematica notebook. Some books on
Mathematica 5.x are sold with the contents on a CD/DVD, and these can
be installed in version 6's help system.
Has anyone managed to install the Mathematica 5 book into 6's help
system?
A combination of the book in version 5.2, and any updated pages from
6, would be very useful. Even without updates it would be nice, but
perhaps it is possible to updated pages too
Everything from the old Mathematica book is there in the v6
documentation, it is just not arranged nicely into sections. If I
remember correctly, someone has posted to MathGroup a palette with
links to the sections of the Mma book in the v6 docs. You could
search the MathGroup archives for it.
