FriCAS is an advanced computer algebra system. Its capabilities range from
calculus (integration and differentiation) to abstract algebra. It can plot
functions and has integrated help system.

FriCAS 1.0.1 should build on Linux, many Unix like systems (for
example Mac OSX and Solaris 10) and Windows.

If you want people to be able to build it on Sun's Solaris, you should be supporting the Sun compiler

configure: error: We need a C compiler from GCC

gcc does not work as well on Solaris as the Sun compilers. I don't even have gcc on my laptop, although I do on my SPARC.
