FriCAS is an advanced computer algebra system. Its capabilities range from
calculus (integration and differentiation) to abstract algebra. It can
plot functions and has integrated help system.
FriCAS 1.0.3 should build on Linux, many Unix like systems (for
example Mac OSX and Solaris 10) and Windows.
FriCAS is build on top of Common Lisp; several Lisps can compile
and run FriCAS -- currently supported are GCL, SBCL, Clisp, ECL
and Closure CL (former OpenMCL).

- Next by Date: Subject: Application for membership (Physics) Hello: Since there was a request for physics branch, I have opened up Basti Newsgroup: Sci.physics. If you are interested in other branches of science, please let me know. It will take some time such that I develop Basti newsgroup. Why don’t you become a member and start posting in a closed environment? I do not request any fees at this time until I get issues going on with Google and other stuff (such as registration license of my company for educational business). But once done, I will charge you (later) a fee starting the day you registered with me. With sufficient members I will transfer the site to an independent web site (not Google). You need to provide your full name, city and country of residence and a valid email (this information will be provided to all members). You also need to sign a letter of contract for joining the company (explaining its regulations of conduct of posting articles). This will include your full address and telephone number for company reference (as well as billing), but it will be kept confidential. Why don’t you join now and start posting? I have already posted some articles there. The fee for the US residents is $5 US, for Canadian residents $5 CND, for every six months of the operation. For other countries the fee varies (I will accept check or money order of your currency later on). Please contact me at Basti05b [At] aol.com Dr.Mehran Basti CEO , Basti Newsgroups Application for membership (Physics)
