Just my guess that it is mostly hype.
From one pre-review,"it's a very powerful calculator that doesn't just work for math
problems -- it works for many other kinds of questions that have
unambiguous (computable) answers."
Well, since readers of this newsgroup know that there are no computer
systems that "work for [all or even most] math problems"
can one project then how well it will work for the rest of the
world?
Maybe
..... it works for simple arithmetic problems ... (but so does Google
calculator) ... and [independent of that fact] it can be demonstrated
to work on some other questions too.
Natural language question answering and solution of [some] word
problems in physics has a history going back decades. Claiming
that [all, most, or some] unambiguous problems are answered... well,
some.
It might be interesting but major leap forwards, probably not.
Skeptically yours.
