I do, in a way. It can't be easy to go through life with the level of
emotional intelligence that JSH displays on sci.math.
We're a rowdy bunch here, and some of us seem to be more or less
permanently inflamed against him. I think it would take a long time,
and many displays of sanity on JSH's part, before we all cooled down.
So he might do well to quit sci.math (as he has done more than once)
and interact with some quieter bunch. Maybe, in a face-to-face
encounter, one could communicate with him more effectively. The trick
is to see him as a challenge but not as an enemy.
