Bodes Law of the planets

Does anyone know if the reason that the orbits of the planets roughly
obey Bode's Law has been found. (Bodes Law says that the distance of
planet n from the sun is 3(n-1)+4 units, where Mercury is planet 1,
Venus planet 2, etc).
