Yup!
It just occurred to me, if Olcott was right (not in this universe) then perhaps
  we could run a few of the reply posts through his magical machine and find
out if replying would ever cause him to halt posting. Or something similar.
Or maybe the realisation of his machine would result in a program which takes
the bits of his post, randomly assigns them values of 0 or 1, then sends them
to /dev/null.....
