Hello,
Would you be kind enough as to help me identify the category of the
proposition: 1+1=2 ? Is it analytic or synthetic a priori?
Apart from that, please, which part of mathematics is analytic (can be
deduced from entirely logical axioms) and what synthetic a priori? I
know that in Principia Mathematica Russell used e.g. the non-logical
axiom of infinity (what other?).
Thank you very much.
(Now, please, don't burn me.)
Andrew
