Steve, my friend,

I just want to make clear that I felt comfortable being abrasive, rude,
or to some extent overbearing with you because we already share a level
of familiarity.

Also, I want to make clear that I wrote that response for the next
person whoever it was, and I felt comfortable sending it, to help shock
your torpor.

I appreciate your reply, but not its content.

Also, I felt comfortable writing that post of claims, because it's
true, contemporary, and in-place, documented, fairly attributed, and
even mundane.

So, this is just to say that I like and respect you, Steve, and
generally, and care to compliment the solid and as well expanding
knowledge and skills evidenced, and this approach is to give a clue to
outsiders about what they otherwise might not perceive as camaraderie.
The average respondent to sci.math is a high-powered intellect,
compared to an hypothetically average man or woman, and for their own
reasons interested and passionate about "mathematics." I'm personally
quite average.

Also, I'll casually and off-handedly offend you if you're offended by
truth, because that's all that I could ever sincerely offer to the
logical discussion. In mathematics, I'm offended by contradiction and
falsehood.

I casually call you my friend. We don't care.

Is each thing identical to itself? Yes, they is.

Now then, can you take that and run with it? Where would you go? What
is the most direct way to share mathematical thought with many others?
I write to sci.math sometimes, and qualified people sometimes address
my concerns, and I theirs, when they're not hiding or equivocating.
"The set of all sets is its own powerset." Regardless, I have some
comfort that you will read these words, that we can share in our joint
discussion, and others can review them at their leisure, or for their
reasons.

Consider the many observers. You're your only own observer.

I tired of my averral. Happy New Year! May the coming year bring us
prosperity, wisdom, kindness, and growth. Cheers.
Regards,

Ross Finlayson
