I assume that the expansion of space is not limited to just the
space between massive bodies but also extends down to the
subatomic level; i.e. the space within and between atoms, and
possibly everything composing atoms.
If so, is this subatomic expansion of space taken into account in
current theories? It would seem that all astronomical bodies are
expanding at the same rate as the intervening space. What would
be the rate of expansion of the earth? Anywhere near 32ft/sec/sec?
if the expansion of space is limited to space between massive
bodies, then why?
