Hi,
I'm having trouble understanding the gamma function. Is it the same as a
factorial, but for complex numbers? Could someone give me an example of
it's use?
I understand that a factorial works like this:
5! = 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1
What would be the result of the following:
Gamma(2+3i) =
I have found various websites detailing the gamma function, but the maths is
it bit beyond me.
Thanks for any help,
