Has it occured to you that the mechanical paradigm is limited and unable
to describe events and processes at the sub-atomic level? Of course not.
It has not occured to you. Why don't you read -The Evolution of Physics-
by Einstein and Infield to find out how the mechanical paradigm failed.
Physicists did not give up on a purely mechanical explanation of nature
because they became bored with it. They gave up on it because it lead to
failed predictions. Predictions clearly refuted by experiment. There is
no "purely mechanical explanations" for the atom, sub atomic particles
or interactions at the sub-atomic level. Classical mechanics applied to
molecular kinetics gives false values for specific heat of various
substances, for example. It also leads to a dead end in explaining black
body radiation. Planck had to resort to a totally new paradigm to
explain radiation and Einstein extended it to explain the photoelectric
effect.

Your ignorance of physics is astounding. How can you dare to criticize
that of which you are ignorant. If you want to poke holes in physical
theories, by all means do, but learn what the theories say first.

This dismal failure at mechanical explanations has lead to the
development of solid state circuitry and computers with which you spew
your ignorance and nonsense on the Net. Modern physics which is no
longer based on the mechanical paradigm has one sterling virtue. It
works! It predicts and explains events and processes in a way consistent
with experiment.

Physics is empirical down to the basement level. Theory serves. Fact rules.
