The only way to "prove" this is to show the existence of some kind of
physically infinite quantity violates a conservation law. But how to we
-prove- conservations laws. We assume them directly, or assume
symmetries that imply conservations by way of Noether's theorem.

I happen to believe that there are no physically infinite quantities. I
said I -believe- this to be the case. I have not proved it at all.
Almost every physicist alive belives that physical quantities must be
finite. But at one time, very intelligent physicists (like Newton, who
was probably smarter than Einstein) believed space and time were
absolute and infinite in extent.
