Hi All,
I am trying to differentiate the following function, and I come up with
have a solution, but I have seen another form of the solution written
and I can't see how they got to it. Also is my solution correct?
Trying to differeniate d/dx (ln(product(sum(K*f(x)))) where K is a
constant and f(x) is a gaussian function.
As these things are nearly impossible to write all the steps down using
newsgroup, I am really asking if anybody can direct me to a website
where they know it contains the correct answer and a step by step run
down of how it is calculated.

Sorry should have added then altered forumula to
sum ( ln ( sum(K f(x)) )),
so the problem has become the differential of a log sum of gaussians
