roulette winning system question

Hi all,

My question is :are there any roulette winning systems out there that
might work or make any sense at all?

I think most of them either claim to use the equal random distribution
of numbers to their advantage or they claim to have a way to either
bet or stop at the right time.

I have to admit the equal distribution theory sounds almost plausible.
And if you would have 37 numbered tubes and after each spin insert a
ball in the corresponding tube, they would fill up at about the same
rate. Which would indicate the odds of them not filling up at the same
rate are less likely and there might be a small advantage here.

And most betting and stopping systems use some kind of method to
adjust you next bet based on previous results, which might also be a
way to use this advantage.

However from a pure statistical point of view each spin has no
connection with any previous spin(s) and with the house having an 1/37
advantage suggesting a winning system might exist sounds rather
insane. Even if we consider a wheel without the zero and the house and
player having equal chances.

Any thoughts on this?
