The only system I ever heard of that sounds like it might work
is one that simulated the roulette wheel with a clandestine
microcomputer and then predicted where the ball would drop.
(Actually, it predicted which quarter of the wheel, but
it was right often enough at that to beat the house's
advantage.)

1985).
For any other system, the house will win, on average, on
every bet you make. There will be deviations from that, because
it is gambling, after all, but the more you bet, the less likely
it will be for you to make a lot more (or a lot less) than
the expected value of your bets.
