That would be fine for someone experienced in mathematical/logical
theories, but wouldn't such a person already be familiar with basic
calculus? My comments assumed that you were operating at a more
elementary level; but if you're in fact helping someone to move on from
basic calculus to more substantial real analysis, then of course more
rigorous theory is what's needed.
