no, just seeking f,
in other words I am seeking a function f that passes through the given
points and if any other function g also passes through those points
then at any point on the interval (a,b), |f'(x)| <= |g'(x)|
in other words we are seeking the function that changes most slowly
through the interval, and passes through all the prescribed points.
