I think you think right. There are infinitely
many solutions whereby your first path follows
the prime meridian. (Countably infinite!)

I didn't want to give the solution, which is easy
enough, but rather call attention to your inattention.
Analogously, in packing problems, it usually a sign
of inattention if one says there are only "two" ways
of doing something.
