I don't exactly grasp what are you trying to say. I fail to see the relevence to your previous question. Anyway, Cartesian and Polar coordinates each have their merits and disadvantages. One should use the right notation for the right problem. As for bijections of R with RxR, someone already posted an explicit such bijection.
