It's also true that some students find it equally easy to prove true and false things.
I used to be malicious. I'd do the standard horrible
proof by contradiction the sqrt{2} is irrational,
then give them guidance on sqrt{3}; then I'd set
sqrt{4} as an exercise. A few managed it...
