Just for laffs, the query as to "how can one foil a trinomial with a binomial":
(a + b + c)*(d + e)
We sing: first, outer, inner, mouter, minner, last
Here mouter is b*e and minner is b*d on the idea
that we're taking the middle of the trinomial with ...

I don't think this will catch on.
