>Assume God has the power to do everything. Can he make a rock so big, that even he cannot lift it? Any Thoughts? I found this interesting.
I'll begin by saying I don't paralyze myself into any one particular
belief, so for all I care people could be fanatics, atheists or
anywhere in between.
I say God is all-powerful by definition. (Whether he really exists is
up to you.) Therefore, the answer is yes, he can make a rock so big,
that even he cannot lift it. But he cannot lift it because... he has
decided that he would make a rock so big that even he cannot lift it.
So this can last as long as he wishes, at which point he'll change and
lift the rock (because he no longer wishes to not lift it).
>This is just a very simple proof that a good which is all powerfull can't exist.
Do we truly know what is good or bad? It is known that there can exist
a culture X that despises activity Y that culture Z happens to love to
do. One could argue ignorance from one or both of the sides, but do you
think there will come the day where all human beings agree on what's
good and what's not without any trace of doubt whatsoever?
As to whether God being all-good or not, I have no opinion.
Oh, and who says God is male? Maybe she's a she...
