b-spline basis

Hi everybody,
I have a problem with one proof :( Have to show that if the carrier of basis
function N_i_n is (t_i-1, t_i+1) then for cubic splines, placing the first
knot t_i-1 doesn`t influence the value of basis function N_i_n(t) in the
last range of the carrier t in [t_i+n-1, t_i+n]. How to bite it ?

Many thanks
John
