The page at mathworld on polyhredron seems slightly confusing. It starts out by saying:
"The word polyhedron has slightly different meanings in geometry and algebraic geometry."
It then details the meaning in geometry, and then details the meaning in algebraic _topology_. It never again mentions algebraic geometry. Should I assume the mention of algebraic geometry was an error, and algebraic topology was intended in the first sentence?
Yes, the reference to algebraic geometry should be to algebraic topology.
