Exponential equation

Hey all,

I am in curious mode. I have three points. For example, 9000, 2000, and
500. These points are dependent on, say, distance. At 3 units, I have
9000. At 9 units, I have 2000 and at 16 units, I have 500.

It seems that I have an exponential peak envelope. However, my problem
is that I do not know how to go about figuring out a decaying equation
that will match my points.

Is there a way to this? Any tips?

Thanks!
