lottery, sensitive dependence

Hello,
It seems likely to me that a typical lottery draw, say the UK National
Lottery, exhibits sensitive dependence due to the way the balls bounce off
one another repeatedly. If true, can this effect be quantified?
So, at the risk of sounding like a nerdy Douglas Adams fan, is my suspicion
correct that the exact placing of e.g. my cup of tea would influence the
outcome of the draw? (Of course, I'm not suggesting that the outcome could
be controlled in any favourable way!)
Thanks.
