If one is trying to build a contradiction free mathematics, why choose
anything so happenstance as a decimal system of computation?
A base of two, or a power of two, seem much more logical if one is to
have a system compatible with computers, and bases of either twelve or
sixty also have some distinct advantages over base ten.
