My downloaded copy of PitchYaw worked perfectly well.
Please check that for the arrow keys in the numerical block the NumLock light is turned off.
Downwards to the left of the numerical block there are just the four arrow keys; this set works independently of the NumLock setting.

For small angles the difference is relatively small as the "linear terms" vanish from the commutator. May be that's what's confusing you? I don't have the time to study your code, sorry. The arrow keys didn't work.
