'analytic' vs. 'algebraic'

I was wondering what the difference between the adjectives 'analytic'
and 'algebraic' mean. Are they interchangeable?

I believe, algebraic refers to the 6 operations of algebra. I often
read things like "an algebraic solution is possible." But then I also
hear "an analytic solution is possible" to mean the same thing.

So are these two words interchangeble? Different? Similar with subtle
differences that don't come to play in simple contexts?
