Equivalence definition of chain homotopy

I need some helps to show that, Let P be a chain homotopy between chain
map f and g:C--->D, then it induces a chain map from H:C*I--> D where
*is a tensor product and I is chain complex of [0,1] such that for a
map H|[0]=f and H|[1]=g. Thanks
