Your post has nothing to do with it. You just make up some random
nonsense about what you consider "empirical". The reason why you get
no replies on that is that it is nonsense. It is the same reason why
no one will answer the question "Why is the house yellow meters cubed
high?"

As for a distinction you wish. It is there already and has been there
for a long time. It is pure vs. applied mathematics. And no, applied
mathematicians don't work with just floating point numbers of a given
precision. They work with whatever tools they need to solve the
problem they are working on. They're interested in solving some real
problems, and they're mostly not interested in some philosophical
debate over the "existence" of "real numbers" or about any
"computational value" or "empirical content" of the mathematics.

So why is the house yellow cubed meters high? Well that's because the
roof is made of rubber ducks.
