Set A *containts* set B
If someone were to say set A *contains* set B (no need to mention the
word "set" if it's already known by context), which of the following
does it mean:
1) AMBIGUOUS (either 2 or 3)
2) A has as an element the set B (A = {B, etc. etc. etc.} )
3) B is a subset of A
If you pick 3, please answer this:
How come when we say A *contains* <possible element but not itself a
set>, it means <possible element not itself a set> is a memeber of A,
but when we use A *contains* <possible element but is itself a set> it
doesn't refer to membership?
Thanks
