STRATEGY FOR THE CAPTURE OF THE BASIC CONSTITUENT OF MATTER.



Since the opposition to my recent threads, specially, Contradiction-Free Mathematical Space, The Adics and other Nonsense, and, Strategy for capturing FLT, have faded, let me move on to this new topic as an application of mathematics, specifically, qualitative mathematics or the complement of computation. Qualitative mathematics includes abstract mathematical spaces such as topology as well as foundations and the search for the laws of nature. Here are the key junctures in the search for the basic constituent:

1) Introduction of a new methodology that provides remedy for the flaw in the present methodology of physics called mathematical modelling. It describes nature in terms of numbers, equations, inequalities, functions and statistical trends. Here is the flaw: the description belongs to some mathematical space which is man-made and independent of nature and its laws. Therefore, solving a physical problem using this methodology amounts to reasoning by analogy.

2) The new methodology is dynamic modelling that describes nature in terms of its laws. Its principal component is qualitative mathematics needed for the search for the laws of nature that would ultimately lead to the discovery of the basic constituent of matter.

3) The most fundamental law of nature is Energy Conservation, the modified and extended first law of thermodynamics. This modification is needed because the first law of thermodynamics is only partially correct. For instance, shoot a beam of light into a vacuum; when you turn it off there will be no trace of its energy and the energy of light appears to have been lost. Therefore, I introduce the Energy Conservation Law: “In any physical system and its interaction, the sum of kinetic and latent energy is constant, gain of energy is maximal and loss of energy is minimal”. All other laws must be consistent with it and if a physical phenomenon appears to contradict it some law of nature must be found to reconcile them (the premise here is that there is order in nature, otherwise, we would not be around; therefore such law must exist).

4) In view of the recent report from the Hubble of the appearance of matter in the supposedly empty Cosmos (according to Relativity), first as cosmic dust then it congeals into stars at the rate of one star per minute, and the recent discovery of a nascent galaxy, combined with energy conservation then we have the next law of nature: (The Existence of two Fundamental States of Matter) “There exist two fundamental states of matter: visible and dark matter; the former is directly observable and the latter is not”.

5) Item 4) meets the existence requirement for the physical theory that has been built. Therefore, this question is valid: what does dark matter consist of? The answer is: the superstring. It takes many more laws of nature, which will be introduced in future threads, to give structure and properties to the superstring and its conversion to visible matter called primum. Among the familiar simple prima are the electron, positron and positive and negative quarks; the coupled prima are the neutrino, proton and neutron.

6) One might wonder why the previous search of the last 50 years involving the smashing of the atom did not prosper. The reason is: the superstring, as basic constituent, conforms to energy conservation; therefore, it is indestructible and every piece of matter is reducible to it. Now, everything in the atom appears to be destructible; therefore, the superstring could not have been found there.
