Not a very likely theory. After all, JSH began posting proofs of FLT
long before either of those movies. ("Good Will Hunting" was 1997 and
I think JSH started a year or so earlier.)
Yes, doing a google search reveals some JSH FLT action April 11, 1996 and "Good Will Hunting" released in 1997. So it looks like this wasn't the impetus of his delusions, but I still believe this to be a contributing factor!
