Perhaps the real point is that you already have gotten the
proper recognition for what you have already done.

It just seems so amazing to me that no one from any nation under the
earth has stepped up to stop this madness.

There's a big fat hint right there. It has to do with the locus
of the madness of which you speak.

I have settled results that make it more than clear that I can succeed.

The world has NO reason to let this keep going on, except stupidity on
a scale I still find hard to believe.

Golly. Many of us find the scale of stupidity you're talking
about quite evident. Well, stupidity seems a bit strong a
term to use; how about willful ignorance? Hubris?

If I succeed it will be very difficult to control the outcome near-term
to the positive.

If you succeed, it will only be the result of you having learned
something. To date, you have steadfastly resisted that process.
Ignorance is the natural state; there is no shame in being ignorant,
only in being so proud that you refuse to do the work required to
escape ignorance.

I am confident long-term the gains will be huge, but the immediate
impact, I fear, would be negative.

And it was so preventable.

Why wasn't there anyone out there in the big wide world who cared
enough, or was smart enough to stop the madness?

It is folly to believe that anyone can prevent progress. It is
a greater folly for you to believe that your 100% failure rate
is a sign of your personal superiority.

I have a proof of Fermat's Last Theorem. If you find that hard to
swallow you can look over my prime counting function. If you think it
really is trivial then just try to derive it. Even read through my
derivation, step away, and try to write down from memory how the
derivation goes. I found a way to shoot down ideal theory using some
basic quadratics. I did find a hyperbolic factoring method which it
seems is just too complicated for anyone who is talking about it, to
figure out.

You really do not have a proof of FLT. You admitted as much on
at least one occasion, and it is pure delusion that tells you
otherwise. The observation that 20% of grad students in some
area come across prime-counting functions similar to your own
suggests that it is not all that uncommon, despite your insistence
to the contrary. Your continuing claim to have "shot down" ideal
theory is laughable, of course, and points to the ignorance I've
already mentioned: you don't even know what an ideal is, and all
the claims you make that deny counterexamples to your alleged
proof, based on the notion that you've already shot that theory
down, so those counterexamples are bogus, really amount to
circular reasoning: the argument that ideal theory is flawed must
be correct, *because* you've shown that ideal theory is flawed.
Finally, your "hyperbolic factoring method" doesn't apparently
work any better than brute force.

As I said: 100% failure rate.

I had a paper published in a mathematical journal.

A concerted effort by sci.math posters sending emails to the editors
got it yanked, but later the journal died.

A concerted effort: one e-mail. ONE e-mail, and that e-mail
specifically did *NOT* request the article be withdrawn. I
should know, since I sent that e-mail. I also posted it to
sci.math to avoid any appearance of subterfuge, and (unlike
your Google history) have not deleted it from the record.

Why did this madness go on to this point?

You tell me. What is it, 10 years and counting?

Billions of dollars being made and people who I would think would like
to keep that money, and none of them cared? No one was smart enough to
protect their investments?

Has anyone lost *anything* due to this apparent threat? No.
Have *any* of your numerous threats *ever* come to pass? No.

How much sense does it make to respond to an alleged threat
that has zero credibility? Zero.

How can I have been born in a world that is this stupid?

Stupid is as stupid does. The world does not conform to our
expectations. That does not make the world stupid. If we
fail to keep our expectations in line with reality, that
makes us stupid.

You are stuck in a predicament of your own construction. You
have also gotten a lot of truly well-meaning and accurate
advice about how to get out of that predicament, and yet you
refuse to do anything about it. It is then apparent that
this situation provides you with some form of positive effect.
Perhaps you might try to identify what goodies you derive
from being this person you're presenting to the net.world
and determine whether those goodies are actually good. For
instance, if all you're getting is reinforcement of the idea
that you're so smart and everyone else is so stupid, maybe
that's all you need. It wouldn't be for many, but people are
different in their needs.

It's your life, after all.
