Hi. Is there a "friendly" algorithm for calculating the range of a function?
I am trying to calculate the range of:
f(x) = sin (Arctan x)
-and-
g(x) = ln (cos x)
Over what domain? Without that the question does not make sense.
For example, if the domain is the single point {0} then the range is
also
the single point {0} for both of those functions
Perhaps the implied domain is that subset of IR where the function is
defined.
