My sister is starting her own business, some sort of dress shop, I think. She is also a mom to 3. She has time and money constraints that she needs to consider. How can she maximize her profit? This is called a Linear Programming problem and we can solve the problem rather easily with this technique.

This is just one example that I can think of off the top of my head.
