One of the sadder things about this whole saga is how often people lose
in arguing with me--and just claim otherwise.
Then some other people claim they didn't lose, and the cycle continues.
So it's a group thing.
Kind of like a race where one runner leaves the others in the dust, but
after the race is over, they just say he lost.
This has been going on for years.
So no matter what, from my prime counting programs to the partial
difference equation within them, to my definition of mathematical
proof, to my logical ideas, the math people just say it's nothing
important.
So tonite I posted a simple algebra argument that blows away some
crappy math ideas, but so?
I've done it before.
The real world is about failure--the failure of reason.
More people will die this year from the failure of reason than anything
else, and even more will die the next year and the next, and you know
what?
A lot of those people will die confident they were making the best
decisions.
Reality is that a lot of people can be confidently wrong, and lead each
other, confidently, and wrongly, and face the consequences of those
mistakes, and it not change the reality, that a lot of people can be
confidently wrong and lead each other, confidently, and wrongly.
Proof for most people is just a word.

I guess JSH considers not responding to people's arguments a "win" for
him. There are so many times when someone points out an error in such
detail that even JSH can't miss it. What happens? JSH doesn't post to
the thread again. Ever. And JSH starts a new thread claiming victory.
(He doesn't look at responses, and can thus claim: "I haven't seen an
argument that can refute me.")
And he refuses to take a math course and learn anything, because God
forbid he should find out he was wrong all along! (This is a variation
on the "I haven't seen an argument which could refute me" above.)
And he claims he's a super computer programmer because he automated
some help files. I recently raised the stake with THREE programs I've
written which have received notice outside of my website. And I know
how he'll respond: He'll run away.
So all the usual JSH crap. In ten years, he hasn't learned anything.
