Since at least one root has to be real, can ITo clarify. If Q < 0 or AC + B < 0 then x1 is imaginary
conclude
than if Q < 0 or AC + B < 0, then D must be equal to
conj(E1) or conj(E2) since that will cancel out the
complex factors in x2 and x3?
and either x2 or x3 must be real...
