Greetings:
Who is tossing the coin - them or you. To be truly independent they should
write the result of each tossing down and someone who doesn't know what they
are writing down - preferably in another room should be doing the tossing.
I am a statistician and whilst not currently practicing I do know something
about experiments.

In the first group of tests, we had one person toss while the other
called out of sight. On the playing card tests, same thing-- one person
shuffle/dealing, the "testee" calling. The intersting part of the coin
tossing has been our primary "tosser" is still averaging about 1.7:1
in favor of heads. We are also contemplating videotaping tests. We have
also, for fun (not including results in data) had people tossing and
calling their own tosses-- and for some reason, they tend to score
below chance when calling their own tosses. Go Figure.
