Subalgebras of C([0,1])
Hello,
consider the real algebra C([0,1]) of all continuous functions f:[0,1]->R. If S is a subalgebra of C([0,1]),
containing the constant functions and the linear
functions, does it contain all the polynomial functions
on [0,1]?
Thank you very much for your help.
My Best Regards,
Maury
